Glamour, glamarye,glamalye...
The inborn characteristics of the fairy race,
and the principle distinguishing feature between faeries and mortals.
Faerie Glamour wrongly called magick exists on three levels.
Primarily it is the quality which enables faeries to live in the same
world as mortals,but on a different dimension so that they
remain invisible unless they choose to reveal themselves.
If they do reveal their identity, then glamour is the radiant attaction
which makes a fearie totally irresistible to any mortal.The stoniest of hearts will melt at the apparition of a fairy being,
and even though mortals may not wish to obey a
fairy's bidding the power of glamour compells him(her,it)t
o do so, and sometimes even to feel an unreasonable satisfaction in obidience
.A mortal under the influence of Glamour may be detected by a certain
dazed expression about the eyes and a foolish complacement smile.Finally,GLAMOUR is the power wielded in various degrees by individuals
within the faerie hierarchy, raised to itshighest potency in the Kings and Queens
. Glamour gives all faeries the ability to change their size and shape,
to cast simple spells and cause annoying bewitchments,
but oly the senior superior faeries are capable of using glamour with the maximum force.
In this highest degree it will defeat any wicked witch,
alter the character of nay mortal for good or ill,
and even enforce changes in the weather.
Also, of course, it is used to endow newborn mortal infants
with luck and happiness or to load them with a burden of ill fourtune.
Fourtunately, the possessers of this awsome energy
source normally wield it fairly responsably.
This concludes my resumed literary description of FAERIE GLAMOUR,
on a personal note I also agree that Glamour
is what makes a fairy of any kind so irresistable and basically
they are here in the same world as us to enchant and caress our minds
with respect and desire to be such a wonderful creature...
